One of the defensive leaders for the Tigers this season, Busch and the Pacific defense held opponents to two goals or less in 12 of the Tigers' 18 contests. Elle also got into the act for the Tigers on offense with two goals and two assists in her final season. Busch's best offensive game came in the NorPac Tournament as she tallied a goal and an assist in Pacific's 5-2 win over Appalachian State in the consolation round on Nov. 2. Over her four-year career, Busch played in 67 contests for the Tigers.<b>2006 (Junior): </b><br>Busch started each of Pacific's 18 games in 2006, recording one defensive save and firing off one shot. Busch's defensive save came in the Tigers' 5-2 victory over Massachusetts on Aug. 29. Led by Busch, the Tiger defense recorded three shutouts and held opponents to just one goal in three other contests.<b>2005 (Sophomore): </b><br>During Elle's sophomore year she played as a midfielder in all 20 games for Pacific. Busch scored her first career goal as a Tiger during the NorPac Conference Tournament in a semi-final game against Radford on Nov.4. Her goal was scored in overtime to give the Tigers a 2-1 victory that advanced them to the conference championship game against California.<b>2004 (Freshman): </b><br>Elle played in 11 games for Pacific in her first season, including three starts. A midfielder, Busch had one shot on goal. Her best game of the season came in the final regular season contest against Stanford on Oct. 23 as she started and gave the Tigers a defensive lift in Pacific's 2-1 win. Following that contest, Elle was named the NorPac Conference Rookie of the Week.<b>High School: </b><br>Busch graduated from Archbishop Mitty High School in San Jose, Calif. As a Monarch, Elle led Archbishop Mitty HS to a combined 40-17-4 record in her final three seasons. Following her senior season, Busch was named to the All-BVAL (Blossom Valley Athletic League) First Team and team MVP. One year earlier, Elle was named the most improved player on her team and grabbed a spot on the All-BVAL Second Team.<b>Personal: </b><br>Eleanore Busch is the daughter of Mark and Debra Busch. Elle has three siblings, Molly (19), Judy (15) and Riley (14). Entering her fourth year at Pacific, Elle is majoring in Chemistry & Biology and hopes to become a forensic scientist or join the FBI.<b>MacDonald on Busch: </b><br>"Elle has become an excellent on-field leader. She is explosive coming through from the defense, and she covers a lot of ground very quickly, which makes her an effective flyer on defensive corners."
